OUR STORY

Boundary started in Edmonton, AB, Canada in 1978 supplying wear parts to the construction industry. As our customers’ needs grew, we shifted our focus fully into mining, investing in engineering, tooling, and manufacturing to support larger, more complex components.

That approach still guides us: listen to the customer, learn from the field, and keep improving the components our customers depend on.

OUR VISION

To be the trusted partner for critical industries, delivering the parts, components, and engineering support that keep essential operations running.

OUR MISSION

To deliver reliable components and practical engineering support to the critical industries we serve.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT

WHERE IT BEGAN

Boundary Equipment Co. Ltd. was founded in 1978, driven by ambitions to sell construction equipment replacement wear parts in Western Canada. I joined as a shareholder three years later and became sole shareholder in 1993. That shift moved us from marketing general construction parts regionally to engineering and manufacturing our own mining and processing wear parts, sold globally.

Since then, we've invested heavily in modernizing our tools and assets while carefully engineering (and improving) the major components that work on CAT, Komatsu, and Hitachi shovels and drills. Today, we've built a track record as a credible, engineered alternative to OEM parts.

BUILDING ON TRADITION

WHERE WE ARE NOW

We continue to build on our successes by listening to and meeting the needs of our clients and by strategic acquisitions of synergistic enterprises. We now manufacture and repair shovel, drill, and plant parts, provide open and closed gearing, hydraulic cylinders, state-of-the-art AI, health and other technologically advanced workshop products.

Our 40 year + BLUE RIBBON reputation is built on a legacy of delivering top quality products and services with industry-leading reliability - on time. This consistency, so necessary for customer success, has made Boundary a household name in the mining industry and has become a poster child for world-class engineering, manufacturing quality, and unrivalled delivery.

OUR LEADERSHIP

They share a few core beliefs:

  • Reliability is earned over time, not claimed in a slogan

  • Long-term customer relationships matter more than short-term wins

  • Good decisions come from staying close to the field and the people doing the work
